MK-303 PROFESSIONAL
Continuous Rim Blade

 

Professional grade continuous rim blades for lapidary materials. The MK-303 produces smoother cuts and is used for cutting rare and valuable materials when waste must be held to a minimum and speed of cut is essential. MK-1000 Saber Thin Stainless Steel Blades

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ultra-thin and made of stainless steel, the Saber blade conserves material and holds waste to a minimum.  The Saber blade cuts at twice the speed of ordinary lapidary blades. The Ultra thin rim cuts with little chipping and leaves a remarkably smooth surface. Blades are NOT non-magnetic.

Lortone "Standard" (oil) Notched Rim Blades

These notch rimmed diamond blades provide clean cool cutting in oil at low cost. These types of blades have been the standard lapidary blade for many years.  Diamonds are in notches in the blade rim and are furnace brazed in place.  These are very forgiving blades which can stand abuse.  Notches help distribute the coolant in the cut.  They may be dressed to restore cutting action.  Good for all normal cutting applications at standard 3150 SFM cutting speeds. Can be used with all Lortone saws except the Panther 14 inch saw.

Lortone Cutting Oil

Newly formulated mineral-based oil, which has no smell and is less irritating to the skin and cleans up much easier that petroleum-based oil.  This oil is made with the proper viscosity and lubrication to prolong blade life and improve cutting.  Recommended for all oil-based saws.
