There is now no reason for geologists to use field books that were designed for engineers and surveyors. The Geology Field Book contains 78 leaves (156 pages) with all of the features of the standard Rite in the Rain bound field books, described below, but with numbered pages and 20 field geology reference pages. This book features yellow fabric cover and page pattern shown. Reference Pages include: Comparison Charts for Estimating Percentage Compositions, Geological Map Symbols, Grain Size Scales, Soil Classification, Metamorphic Rock Charts, English and Metric rulers and measurement conversions.
