TruPulse 200 and 360 Laser Rangefinders

The latest generation of handheld laser rangefinders

TruPulse 200 - Distance and Inclination

From the moment you get your hands on the TruPulse™ 200, you’ll know it was created with your needs in mind. It weighs a mere 8 ounces and integrates with existing LTI mapping products, giving you a highly flexible, extremely usable tool for your field measurement needs. Its large, crystal-clear optics with an in-scope data display and through-the-lens targeting help eliminate parallax issues, and we incorporated an adjustable eye diopter into the design to make using the TruPulse 200 comfortable even when wearing glasses. The integrated tilt sensor provides accurate height measurements, even from the steepest angles, and the unit offers a choice between Closest, Farthest, Continuous or Filter modes for improved target acquisition. Best of all, the TruPulse 200 delivers more than just one measurement at a time; it calculates horizontal, vertical AND slope distance with a single press of the fire button. This is a unit which can adapt to varying conditions and save you untold time in the field. Both the standard serial port and Bluetooth® wireless option allow for easy transfer of your data once it’s been collected. The only thing we didn’t engineer into this unit is a big price tag.

TruPulse 360 - Distance, Inclination and Azimuth

Based on LTI’s successful TruPulse 200, the TruPulse 360 combines an integrated compass, inclinometer and distance laser that delivers mapping-grade accuracy and the ability to shoot from any angle. The result is data collection that is easier, faster and measurably superior to any product offered to forestry, telecom, utility transmission and distribution and GIS professionals.

Previously, laser distance measuring devices with integrated compasses were limited in use by the degree of inclination – the angle above or below horizontal at which the unit was held. Past a certain degree of inclination, compass readings became less accurate and reliable.

The TruPulse 360 utilizes the latest electronic compass technology to overcome limitations on other devices. The internal circuitry provides 3-axis monitoring of the earth’s magnetic field and uses LTI’s proprietary TruVector™ compass technology and calibration algorithms to produce the best possible azimuth accuracy, regardless of the instrument’s orientation in physical space. The TruPulse 360 can be tilted, rolled or even used upside down, and it will still measure the correct azimuth in the direction that the user is viewing, allowing the ultimate freedom to “shoot from any angle.”

What Makes the TruPulse Better

Optic Comparison

Our large, superior optics with 7X magnification provide a crystal-clear field of view for easier targeting and improved visibility in low-light conditions.

Flexible Height Routine

(a) When shooting to partially obscured targets, the 3-point height routine lets you first measure the horizontal distance to any point along the target.

(b) The next two shots are only measuring angles, so you don’t need a clear line of site to the target’s base or top.
