F-71 Mirror StereoscopeProfessional quality stereoscope for geologists, geographers and engineers. Features a one-piece cast aluminum body and precision mirrors at a stereo base of approximately 11 inches. This allows complete separation of 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" aerial photographs that have a normal amount of overlap. Four legs fold for easy storage. |
Viewing lenses are set at a universally comfortable interpupillary distance. Optical system consists of two high-grade first surface vapor coated mirrors, two 45 deg. prisms free of color fringe, and two precision-ground diopter lenses of approximately 11 1/2" focal length. Common field of view is 5". Prism and lens are sealed to keep out dirt.

An optional Illumination System consists of power supply, illuminated parallax measuring bar, and fluorescent lamp and shade to give optimum lighting to the work area.
An optional Track Attachment allows simultaneous movement of stereoscope and parallax measuring bar in both the vertical and horizontal planes, permitting uninterrupted work on multiple or continuous photographs covering a large area. The track attachment cannot be used simultaneously with the Illumination System.
The Mirror Stereoscope can be purchased as a complete system or as individual components. The complete system includes a swing-in 1.5X magnifier, 3X binoculars, parallax measuring bar and carrying case. The Stereoscope alone comes with the 1.5X magnifier and case.
An optional 8X binocular conversion is available. This consists of two eyepiece lenses which are inserted into the binoculars in place of the standard 3X eyepieces.
