Precision Jacob's Staff

A light-weight (20 oz.), rugged 1.6-meter Jacob's Staff, constructed of anodized aluminum, which breaks down into four, 40 cm long sections for easy, compact transport. The four sections have threaded connections to create a strong, rigid rod. The staff is labeled with 10 cm increments.
A machined aluminum bracket, with level bubble, holds an abney level (sold separately), in a nylon collet.  We two different abney levels that fit this slot, the SitePro Topographic Abney Level or the Sokkia Topographic Abney Level.  An optional adaptor is available to hold a Brunton pocket transit to use as an inclinometer (does not hold the Brunton for azimuth measurements). This level/compass bracket can be moved to any height on the staff and is secured by a quick turn of a knob. The complete unit comes in its own carrying case, ready for the field.
